Search Engine Optimization – Linking Methods to Improve Traffic to Site

04:58 3
Search Engine Optimization – Linking Methods to Improve Traffic to Site
When it comes to linking strategies, make sure to move out the links to a site that may hurt your site’s rank.

An example to this would be a site that places your link on a page with a hundred or more other links and is not an authoritative site. If a site is not getting at least 30,000 users or visitors per month according to traffic estimate, then consider dropping the link or you can also move it down the page. Be sure also to get the quality links.

So what does a quality link means? A quality link is the one that is on a page with a substantial Page Rank of four out of ten or higher. A page that is seen as a PR4 may present on your toolbar as a Pro. If you find a site which was a low quality but had a Page Rank 5 page, you would not want a link from it. This is because you would not like to be surrounded with quality only tests have shown that the majority of high Page Rank low quality sites lose their Page rank overtime. This implies that the benefit or advantage linking with such site is nearly inestimable.

It is also necessary for you to clean up the bad links and errors so that your site will be indexed. It pays to run a clean ship as the saying goes. Make sure you check out for broken links periodically and fix them. If you have an issue with regards to direct link missing, the solution is simple. Direct link missing refers to the page in question which has no longer has a link directly from the home page or a main category page. All you have to do is to get a link on the home page or a main category page to the page in question. If you place a link from your main category page, make sure to verify that the page is listed in the Google index.

On the other hand, tracking links merely for the aim of improving search rankings is nevertheless useless. What’s important is to look for links for their potential worth in leading qualified users and prospective customers to your site, not just for the purpose of search engine traffic.

These are only few of the techniques that will help you with the page ranks and control Google. Remember that doing your business online requires different strategies that will guarantee an online success. And when it comes to traffic tricks, you need learn how to use some effective ways or a combination of these strategies to rule the front page of Google and other search engines. Again, keep in mind that more traffic means more leads, and more leads means more money.

Top 10 On-Page SEO Tips For The Perfect Landing Page

08:12 0
Top 10 On-Page SEO Tips For The Perfect Landing Page
Here are my top 10 tips for the perfectly optimized landing page.

1. Change Your File Name
Calling your HTML file “0023.html” is not telling anyone anything. Try including the title or vague description of the page within the URL, be it the name of the HTML document or a folder (although not as effective).

2. Create Clean URL’s/Permalinks
Use htaccess to make clean URLs/Permalinks – Clean URLs (or Permalinks) offer a clear and concise description to the end user and also search engines.

“example.com/articles/cat-food/the-best-cat-food.html” is better than “example.com/0034.html”

3. Use .htaccess to Change Your File Types
Whilst in fact the page title for this specific document is “http://eacharticle.com/2017/seo-tricks/top-20-seo-tip…t-landing-page.html” the actual URL is more like “http://eacharticle.com/?p=5″.  Having a file type, I have found, actually makes Google respond differently to the content. You can also use this to cover up what server side language is being used, in this case, PHP.

Preferentially I like to replace spaces with dashes (“-”) however underscores (“_”) are fine too…. and now I am re-reading this paragraph and the gamer geek in me is coming out… Id like to introduce Kirby (“-”) and Sackboy (“_”) (please ignore reference if not a gamer).

4. The <title> Element
Clear and concise keyword usage should be used here. Try and vary these amongst various pages, its a haven for key words to be identified with strong word weight.

5. Meta Tags (Description & Keywords)
The “description” is vital. Google uses this as a default text for its listing:

Example.com listing from Google.com
If you do not add a default description, Google will use algorithmic technology to pick the most appropriate content of your site.

6. Use the H1-H6 Elements
I cant stress this enough. Do NOT simply change the font size and style of a paragraph to make it look like one. Change your h1,h2,h3 etc to look how you want using CSS. Headers are important keyword elements and should not be discarded.

7. Sitemap for the Users and another for Search Engines
Site maps enable search engines to actively cache pages faster and more efficiently than it can ever do on its own.
An HTML site map is a graphical site map unlike the one for search engines which is XML based (so machines can read it easier). For more information see articles on this site for sitemaps.

8. Focus…
Focus on what your trying to sell to the user/customer. Do not babble on with irrelevant terminology unrelated to your product or service. Focus, focus, focus… that wasnt spamming a keyword, I was just reiterating a valid ‘buzz’ word.

9. Close your elements!!!!
Clean code is good code, make sure your elements are closed with the appropriate closing tags. Open <p>…. close </p>… open <h1>… close </h1>…. I should audition for the next Mr.Miyagi

10. Try using key phrases instead of keywords.
If making a site about dog grooming, its all well and good using the word dog frequently… but use “dog grooming” together gives you more of a chance of hitting a keyword match.

What Sites Are Good To BackLink To?

What Sites Are Good To BackLink To?

SEO Back Linking Trick 1

Well, what are the best sites to backlink with? Its a difficult decision. Everyone always says
“Don’t spam your site, Google will hate you for it!”
“You’ll get banned from Google for backlinking with irrelevant sites!”
Fear mongering at its best. I have always stuck by one rule…
“If my competitor is doing it… and he/she is above me… then I probably should too.”

I know this makes me sound like a sheep, but I prefer it to make you sound like a hunter. To find the gold you need to find the trail. The trail in this case, is something someone else has already found… with me so far?

That being said here is the magical SEO trick for getting a list of the best sites to backlink to is….
“http://www.MyCompetitorsSite.com” (with quotes)
… but oh my! Is it really that easy? Just type that in Google and see all your competitors back link efforts?! Well…. yeah.

Now all you’ve got to do is look through the sites that pop up and see how and why they are registered with them. When you find a directory service and/or site that you are not registered with, go register with them and enjoy the added page rank that your competitor has that you do not.

SEO Back Linking Trick 2

So you’ve found your competitors linked sites, now what… here’s a second way of finding good sites to backlink with.Another ridiculously easy method which is simply:
Go to Google…
Type keyphrase you want to appear under…
See who’s there…
You’ll find that as well as actual companies/blogs, there will be directory sites. These directory sites aid PageRank and if they are appearing at the top of your keyword/keyphrase search, its highly likely that they are well indexed and sought after links in accordance to Google… This by default means its a good playground to put your name in.

Summary:
Dont think too hard about if you should or shouldn’t link with someone. Google does not penalise for a single mistake. Purposefully spamming hundreds of forum boards and appearing in places on the internet known to partake in link spamming will be the end of your domain (at some point in time).

Back Link Building Strategy: 3 Important Points to Consider Before You Even Start

Back Link Building Strategy: 3 Important Points to Consider Before You Even Start
If you want to promote any webpage you have on the web, you will have to build back links to it. In case you don’t know, back links are links from other websites that points to your webpage/website.

They help to attract traffic to your site and increase your site’s page rank. Search engines love them a lot. Take Google for example. If you look at Google’s history, you’ll recall that they emerged from smart backlink calculation. The two founders were able to discover an algorithm that rank websites base of the number of back links they have. Up to present day it is clear that back links still play an important role in the way websites are ranked.

Before you think of building links to your money site, you must have gotten a niche market and a list of keywords you’ll be targeting. If not you’ll just be going in circles. That said, to improve the effectiveness of your link building campaign, there are 3 factors you should always have in mind and do them right. These factors are discussed below.

1. Back Link Anchor Text: The anchor text of your back links are simply those texts/phrases that people use when they link to your website. They are those texts which you can click on to visit your website. During your link building campaign, always mind the kind of anchor text you use. Make very sure that you use variations of your keywords in the anchor text.

The reason why you should use your keywords in the anchor texts of your links is because they help search engines to understand what your site is all about. By using your keywords in your anchor texts, you’re simply telling Google that your site is relevant to that keyword and because of this, Google will rank you higher whenever someone search for that keyword.

Another thing you should do while building links to your site is to diversify the anchor text of your back links. It is going to look very suspicious to Google (or any other search engine) that all the links pointing to your site or webpage have the same anchor text. This will make Google feel that you’re trying to manipulate her (and Google hate being manipulated) and as a result, she will rank your website low for that keyword. A good practice is to optimize different pages in your site for different keywords and to use few variations/synonyms of your keyword.

2. Page Rank: The page rank of a webpage is one of the means Google use to determine how important a page is. The page rank is just a number that range from 1 to 10. The higher the page rank of a page the higher will be its position in SERP (search engine result page) for the keywords that page is optimized for (Ceteris Paribus). If a page with a high page rank optimizes its content for a particular keyword, it will rank higher than another page with a lower page rank which is also optimized for the same keyword.

For an effective link building campaign, build your links from pages with high page rank rather than from pages with lower page rank. Doing so will give you an edge over the competition. But there is nothing wrong with getting a number of links from low page rank pages. In fact it is good to go for a variety of page ranks.

3. Source of backlinks: Another thing you should have in mind when building links to your site is the source of your back links. Your links should come from a variety of sources. Place them on different sites, including sites with.edu and .gov extension.

Your back links should also come from sites with different IP addresses. By doing these, you are creating diversity in your link building campaign and it will look natural in the eyes of search engines.

These 3 important points will greatly affect your search engine ranking. Doing them the right way will definitely improve your search engine ranking. If you think all these are just theories, read the next paragraph and you’ll see my back link anchor text in action!

SEO – Get Started With 5 Quick Tips That Can Have a Big Impact

SEO – Get Started With 5 Quick Tips That Can Have a Big Impact
A couple times a week I get requests from people asking for help with SEO, search engine optimization. These are mostly small businesses who don’t have the resources to hire a SEO consultant but know they need take search seriously.

They have good reason to think search is important. I have seen companies get the equivalent of millions of dollars of free advertising because they were highly optimized for search. Here are a couple quick things that someone can do to make an impact on their SEO rankings:

Fix mistakes on your website: I like to start by fixing any mistakes on the website that could be dragging down the search results. You would be amazed how many sites have links that go nowhere. Another frequent crime is moving pages around on your web site without adding the necessary code to point people to where the pages now live. I have seen sites that had tens of thousands of external sites pointing to pages that no longer exist. Not only do these changes kill your search rankings, but they also frustrate customers and make you look bad. This is why I like to start here. Ask your webmaster to set up Google’s free and very powerful Webmaster Tools. This is about a 5 minute exercise. Once that is done, go into Webmaster Tools and look for the menu option for Crawl Errors. That will tell you what pages are missing and who is linking to them. You then can work with your webmaster to resolve the issues.

Check the title: When Google looks at your site to determine what each page is about, arguably the most important thing is the title tag. One easy way to see the title tag for each page is to look at the tab names in your browser. Most browsers will use the title tag as the name for that tab. The key is for each page to have a good description of what the page is about. You would be amazed how many companies just have their company name as the title tag on each page – you are basically telling Google nothing meaningful about that page. The descriptions should be short (just a couple words) and should be the types of things your customers would be searching on. Again, your webmaster can help you change these.

Check your H1′s: One of the other most critical things Google looks for on your pages is your H1 tag and to a lesser extent your H2′s and H3′s. I like to think of the H1, H2, and H3 tags as the web’s version of an outline. These blocks of text show up on the page and describe how the page is going to flow. Ideally the H1 describes the main point of the page, the H2 describes the main sub-sections of the page, and so on. I would focus on your H1′s as those are most import. Go to a given page and right click on your browser and say View Page Source. Now use the Find feature to look for “h1.” You will see something like this<h1>Some Text Here</h1>. You will want to go back to the actual page and see where this text shows up. Make sure the H1 is a good description of the page and again ties to what customers might be searching for.

Competitive research: Is there a company in your industry who you think does search well? If so, you can quickly leverage the work they have done. I really like to use a tool called SEMRush.

They allow you to punch in a site and see 1) the value of the free traffic they are getting (they call it SE traffic price) and 2) what keywords were most valuable. (SEMRush gives you a little information for free and a whole lot more if you pay for their service.) If you see some keywords that are driving a lot of people to this other company in your industry, consider using the keywords in your title tags and H1′s.

Get others to link to you: One of the key things Google looks at when it ranks your site is how many other sites link to you. Google’s original design was based on the belief that if a lot of sites link to you, you must be an “expert” in this particular subject so they should rank you high in the search results. Think about any partners, blogs, customers, news sites, etc who should be linking to you. Make sure all your press releases have links back to you. The best links from external sites link to pages other than your home page and use descriptive language in the link. For example, if you make surfboards and you have someone reviewing a specific surfboard, the link should look more like this “great XYZ surfboards” not “click here” and it should go to your XYZ surfboards page, not your homepage.

While these tips just scratch the surface when it comes to SEO, you might be surprised how much you can get done in a short period of time. I have seen companies invest just 5 to 10 hours in the tips above and then seen their search results increase by 2, 3 or even 10x. It is a great place to start and for many companies, the key to SEO is just getting started.

Increase Rank on Google in Under 30 Days?

05:33 0
Increase Rank on Google in Under 30 Days?
Are you trying to increase rank on Google for your pages with little or no change to their rank? Would you like a simple to follow plan that shows you exactly what you need to do to grab the number 1 spot in under 30 days? If this is you then you will WANT to read what I am going share with you.

When trying to increase rank on Google the first and most important thing is Keyword Research, knowing ‘What is my keyword for the page and how much competition is there for that keyword’.

The reason this is important is you have to compete against the people who are already advertising for that same keyword term or phrase, so if there are 2 million people advertising for that keyword more than likely you won’t be able to beat them for the number 1 spot.

Find a keyword with less competition and you will be able to rank for it easier.
Next you need to write an article that is SEO optimized for the keyword you have chosen. If you don’t know what the search engines require in the article you will never be able to rank for it, or increase rank on Google or any search engine for its keyword. The keyword has to be in the URL, in the title, in the heading, in the body 3-5 percent, and more. And that’s just the basics!

Last you have to build high quality backlinks pointing to your article. A backlink is a link from another site pointing to your article. You can build these by writing article and submitting them to directories, social sites, and related websites.

The best backlinks are ones that come from related sites and also backlinks from authority sites. Backlinks are the key to number 1 listings in the search engines. If your pages aren’t at number one and you have good SEO, build more backlinks and your page will get to number one!

If you have good Keyword Research, good SEO, an ORIGINAL article, and plenty of backlinks then your page will shoot to the top of the search engines with no problem. Learn how to select great keywords, how to properly write your articles, and the best places to get backlinks and you will always have great search engine rankings. And remember, its not rocket science, all you have to do is learn what the search engines look for and then do it the same way every time!
To Your Success!
